How to you keep up to date with changes in trend?
Wendy views ongoing training as a high priority, recently completing Certificate IV in Kitchen design through the Kitchen & Bathroom Design Institute (KBDI).

Regularly attending design expo’s and fairs ensures Wendy is aware of trend changes, but also allows the opportunity to meet new suppliers.

During May 2013, Wendy took the opportunity to join the KBDI tour of Germany & Spain.  During this tour she was invited to also visit the Blum factory in Austria. This was a fantastic experience visiting various industry manufacturers with the highlight attending Interzum in Germany. Spending this time with 20 other like minded people, was invaluable!

Wendy felt this tour was so invaluable that in April 2014, with a group of fellow designers decided to attend EuroCucina - the International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition in Milan, Italy.  Again, there was such an array of outstanding concepts at the exhibition and Wendy is excited to have had the opportunity to meet the designers and view what was on show.

Granite, Marble, Caesarstone, Corian… are these solid surfaces all the same?
No, two of them are natural stones, one is acrylic and the other is a quartz based product.  Wendys office has an extensive range of samples available to discuss and select the perfect material for the project.

Why does my splashback glass have a green look to it?
Clear glass has a slight green tinge which may affect the painted colour, especially if it is a pale paint selection. It is a less expensive option but the overall effect will not be the same as if Starfire glass has been specified. Starfire glass is absolutely clear, so the paint colour is true.

Can you explain the different Edge profiles for cabinetry or solid surfaces?
Some of the more popular edges are; Pencil Round, Square Edge, Bevel, Half Nose and Bull Nose. Before selecting a profile, it is important to understand the look you are trying to achieve, and ensure you view the different options available for your cabinetry.
